Program Note:

Sunrise Overture is a piece that I began during my first semester at the University of Florida. I had written a decent amount of it before eventually reaching a creative wall, but I also spent more time honing my compositional skills during my first year. I finished the piece during my second year of college and continued to edit it afterwards. The piece is hopeful and optimistic, much like my perspective on life having grown up in the sunshine state of Florida.
